Group classes
Small classes in Tucson and Oro Valley, with other dogs as real-life distractions.
Small-class dog training in Tucson since 2011. We show you how to talk to your dog, so they’ll want to listen.
Course: Ruff House
We ask about your dog’s personality and history.
We look at your needs and expectations and help you pick the right course.
The best part: real progress, and a happier life together.

It’s embarrassing when your dog is out of control, and frustrating when you can’t fix it. We get it. Our approach shows you how to speak your dog’s language, so they’ll want to listen and behave. Walks get easier. Going out in public gets fun.
We’re dog owners too. Over the last decade we’ve helped thousands of Tucson families and their dogs live happier lives together.

Crystal Blaker founded Ruff House in 2011 after leading animal enrichment and behavior at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. She still competes: in 2018 she and Wrigley, our Goldendoodle, won the USDAA Cynosport World Championship in agility.

“I have practiced veterinary medicine for more than a decade and Crystal is the most professional dog trainer I have ever worked with. She has trained two of my own adult dogs and I regularly consult Crystal’s behavioral expertise. I recommend her to everyone in need of dog training.”
“Crystal is super intuitive when it comes to identifying behavioral issues with dogs and how to address them. Her advice on crate training and how to get my dog to stop growling at strangers helped so much! Benji was “rough around the edges” when we first adopted him, and now he is such a different dog.”

Crystal didn’t just train the dogs, but also the owners. Chip started the class being shy and timid and ended up loving the class and all the other puppies.”
